Ever experienced first-hand the true meaning of “If you don’t need something, there’ll be an abundance of it but when you need it, you can barely find it anywhere”? That’s the issue we personally have with looking for Kebabs (though it’s a personal struggle ?). Kebabs are most commonly found at Pasar Malams but where can you find one that’s freshly made when you’re craving for it on a regular day? Zuzu Kebab is the answer! ? For your one-stop shop for all halal Turkish cusine in Singapore, let us share with you more about the famous Zuzu Kebab.

You’ve probably heard about Zuzu Kebab, a hawker stall located at Serangoon Garden Market & Food Centre. Word on the street (especially from foodies) says it's an eatery worth gatekeeping! ?The lines that form outside the stall at around lunchtime can be very intimidating to first-time customers. But as with many who’s gotten a taste of Zuzu Kebab’s Muslim-friendly and authentic Turkish cuisine, the wait is well worth it!

A glimpse of the menu will get your mouth watering instantly. From $6, you can enjoy the classic Turkish dishes like Kebabs Wraps, Burrito Rolls and Pita Bread to more complex dishes like Mousakka (an eggplant or potato-based dish, often including ground meat), Beyti (grilled meat on a skewer and served wrapped in lavash and topped with tomato sauce and yoghurt) and more!

All the dishes come with large servings of meat cooked in the traditional Turkish method of cooking - slow roasting the meat on a rotating spit and thinly slicing it off once it's cooked. This makes Zuzu Kebab’s meat juicy, smoky and super flavourful! ?

If you’re looking for something other than the usual Kebab, you can’t go wrong with the Pide (with your choice of meat) from $10. It tastes like a pizza - crispy on the outside and soft on the inside! ?Served alongside the Pide bread were two types of sauces: a garlicky white sauce and a red tomato sauce. Combine the two with the bread for a creamy and tangy taste.

P.S. Zuzu Kebab even sells Baklava if you’re craving something sweet after your meal!

The menu is big with many options to choose from. You can choose to have chicken, beef or if you can’t decide, both in any of your orders. It’s a very neat and organised system they’ve got running that you wouldn’t be too curious about how the stall runs (spoiler, only one person is manning the store!).

The man behind the business is a true-blue Turkish chef! While he works as a one-man team on the stall, all of his delicious creations are made with care, and the portions are generous too. ? All the veggies are chopped fresh and the meats are carved to order. ? With the lines to his store being as long as they are, you would not have imagined him to be working alone. He says he’s working on hiring a store assistant to help him continue to manage the quality of food being put out.

So what’re you waiting for? Hurry over to Zuzu Kebab to get your fix of authentic Turkish dishes at affordable prices and made fresh right in front of your very eyes! SHARE this with your lunch buddy to get their tummy rumbling too.
