Xscape Tambun is a hidden gem that opened relatively recently, in mid-2019. Located just about 1.3km away from the popular Lost World of Tambun theme park, the tranquil resort provides a peaceful retreat for those looking for some respite from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The resort is a great place to just unwind and chill. Chill out on the swings or one of the picnic tables located on the resort grounds, have a barbecue, or go for a leisurely bike ride. There are also fun activities for guests to do, including cave exploring and flying fox (more on that below!).
There are a few different rooms to choose from, from those that cater to two people as well as bigger rooms that can cater to four which are great for families. Nestled right by the limestone formations, it'll be quite the experience! The rooms are comfortably furnished and equipped with necessities like air-conditioning, hair-dryer, electric kettle and more. For families, choose from the Family Room with Mountain View that comes with the event space equipped with barbecue facilities and comfortable eating area. Alternatively, you could opt for the Family Room with Balcony which is located up a flight of stares and offers a balcony with a great view!

Xscape Tambun will be a great base to explore the rest of Ipoh from, but don't miss out on some of the activities the resort itself offers. Go on a cave adventure (RM60) that takes you through a route through water (including a portion you'll have to wade through!) and some jungle trekking before you reach the caves and see the wondrous interior. Besides that, there's also a flying fox rig right at the resort that guests are welcome to (RM20 for unlimited play per session!). You can also buy tickets for the Lost World of Tambun from the resort at a cheaper price ?
