What's the best airport in the World?

Hamad International Airport is named the world's best airport in 2021. However, cleanliness and hygiene are something that is brought up in our minds when it comes to travel during the pandemic.

Skytrax World Airport Awards had released a list of their award-winning airports, including the World's Cleanest Airport 2021. This award guarantees the airport's commitment to providing excellent and hygienic service during transit.

Tokyo Haneda

Tokyo Haneda Airport is the first airport in Asia that received World Airport Awards for the cleanest category. As an air transport hub with dynamic traffic, both domestic and international, "Team HANEDA" managed to consistently provide and maintain excellent service in hygiene.

Cleanliness and hygiene is a huge part of travel during the pandemic. Even if the risk of Covid-19 spread in air travel is pretty low, this airport remains committed to the safety of their customers and providing facilities and services that are second to none in convenience, comfort, and functionality.

Singapore Changi

Named as the world's best airport for 8 consecutive years, Changi Airport also keeps up with its cleanliness and hygiene protocols. All the check-in and administration process in this airport is done with least physical contact, allowing the passenger to remain distanced safely from others.

Tokyo Narita

In the third place, we have Haneda's sister, Narita International airport in Tokyo. This airport is an alternative landing for those visiting Japan. With the excellent service and cleanliness, Narita ensures that all the passengers transiting here is having safe and convenient travel.

Sitting at the top of the world's best airport this year, Hamad International Airport finishes third on the cleanest airport list. Not only clean but also aesthetic. This airport hoses 20 permanent art installations that please the sight.

Seoul Incheon

Finishes at the 4th place, Incheon International Airport might be one of the airports we missed the most! This gate to South Korea is where your adventure started. Even when international travellers are not allowed to come freely, this airport still maintaining its hygiene and service for passengers.

Meanwhile, there are more airports on this list. What makes it interesting is that nine out of ten airports are located in Asia.

In the 6th place, we have Kansai Airport, followed by Centrair Nagoya Airport in the 7th place, both located in Japan. Meanwhile, Hong Kong Airport sitting in 8th place.

The only European airport that made it into the list is Zurich Airport in Switzerland in the 9th place, followed by Taiwan Taiyouan Airport in 10th.
