When (working title) Burger Bar closed down its store at Arab St last December, we were a tad disappointed. After all, (working title) was one of the pioneers of the halal cafe scene in Singapore and we were sad to see it go.

But this week, we were overjoyed with a piece of good news - our favourite cafe is reopening at North Bridge Rd! It's just a 5-minute walk from its previous location, just beside its sister cafe, Tipo. The good folks at (working title) invited us to a media preview earlier this week and we're super stoked for its launch today (1 Mar 2019)! Here are 3 things you can look forward to:

1. Chic and cosy ambience

We were blown away by the cosy ambience of their new space. What we loved the most was that they retained some of the old decor.

If you look closely, you'll notice that they've kept the iconic green "sticker" door and recreated their murals. The kitchen is now an open concept and it feels more personal to be able to watch how your food is prepared. Though we kind of miss the "backyard" space at the old cafe, this new one makes for a great space to chill out with friends or family ☺️

2. Improved menu

Though their menu is still a "work in progress", you can expect a mix of old and new burger flavours. One of the burgers that we really enjoyed was the Baaa-ger. No points for guessing what meat it is ? The lamb patty is flame-grilled and topped with provolone cheese, garlic aioli sauce and more. It was really juicy, with a rich taste of lamb, but the other ingredients balanced it out perfectly.

They are bringing back the Magic Mushroom too - the patty is made from portobello mushrooms, with truffle oil, provolone cheese and caramelised onions! Previously, there was smashed avocado and BBQ sauce but this time, they use garlic aioli instead. The sauce might be different but the taste is just as awesome ?

3. Old favourites

Yes, the old favourites are making a comeback too! If you've been missing (working title)'s Truffle Tater Tots or Bandung Latte, don't worry, now you can have them to your heart's content!

Satisfy your tummy with their Ribena Wings too. Spiced, battered and then drizzled with Ribena - trust us, this is unexpected good. The Ribena dip on the side has got us craving more too ?

So, tell all your friends this good news and head down to (working title) Burger Bar with your makan kakis. We're pretty sure you'll be chomping down those mouthwatering burgers and tater tots in no time! P.S. Don't forget to let us know how your experience is like.
