Tips and Guidelines

1. Read the cafe's rules

Yes, cat cafes are fun and a great way to spend your weekend! However, they are sentient creatures and they deserve to be respected too! That's why cat cafes have strict rules on the handling of their cats. Different cafes have different rules, one cafe might let you hold a cat while another might not. Read up on the rules before going for your slot to have a wonderful experience!

P.S. Some cafes might allow you to take part in their feeding sessions! Take note of them and if there are any opportunities to feed the cats treats!

2. Wear easy to remove footwear

Many cat cafes require you to remove your shoes before entering, mainly to keep the cafe clean. Wear something easy to slip on and off so you can enjoy your time more, AND will have an easier time getting in and out of the cafe without blocking the doorway (some of the cafes have small entrances!)

3. Not all cats are social!

Just like people, cats have different personalities. Some of them prefer to sleep while others will run after a cat toy! If a cat is not coming towards you or entertaining your cat toys, don't be sad as they might just not be interested. Enjoy their presence and their soft fur while you relax in the cat cafe! Take many pictures (without flash!) of the cute cats doing just kitty things.
