London is one of our dream cities to visit and we thought it was time to feature some of the awesome halal selections in the heart of the city! And who best to introduce the top restaurants in London than a local Londoner? Say hello to HGAT (Halal Girl About Town) as she tells us which are her go-to restaurants in London!

1. Stickywings
Along the famous curry mile of Brick Lane lies Stickywings, an American chicken wings restaurant that provides you with the perfect comfort food. The menu is short and sweet with the main focus on their popular, fried, crunchy chicken wings that come in four different flavours: Jerk Twist, Buffalo, Hot Chilli, and Barbeque. These wings are outstanding - moist and full of flavour - but a secret gem is their bagel beef burger; a hefty beef patty sandwiched between two pieces of soft bagel bread. Don’t leave without a portion of their creamy profiterole cheesecake!

2. The Meat Company aka The Meat Co.

After walking around Shepherds Bush Westfield, head down to the Meat Company, one of London’s best halal steakhouses. The South African restaurant has a special halal menu dominated with perfectly cooked and juicy steaks but the mouth melting beef ribs and skewers aren’t to be missed either. Booking is essential and you can opt to sit in a fully halal area where no alcohol or non-halal products from the standard menu are served.

Christopher’s Grill in Covent Garden will provide classic American staples such as mouth-watering wagyu beef burgers, steak and eggs, and a decadent chocolate french toast (this is to die for!). They also serve a reasonably priced pre and post theatre menu in the event that you’ll be going for a show in one of Covent Garden’s theatres. 4. Gymkhana

One of Britain’s most iconic staples is the curry house therefore you can’t leave London without visiting one. One of the most refined and loved Indian restaurants in London, Gymkhana is situated in the polished Mayfair and their Michelin star is seen in some of the more popular dishes such as the creamy potato chaat, the deliciously soft lamb chops, and their aromatic kid goat keema. You will need to book plenty of time in advance but if it isn’t possible, try out Trishna (££££) or the original Lahore Kebab House (££) on Commercial Road.
