There are many activities parents can include in their itinerary to make it a super fun trip for their kids. From immersing yourself in nature to having a fun-filled day in an indoor theme park, here are some fun things to do in Penang with your kids!

Kids love farm animals! Situated in Balik Pulau, there's a small farm called Saneen Dairy Goat Farm that let visitors pet, feed and take pictures with the animals on this farm. It’s a great way for the whole family to learn and explore farm life. After the feeding and photo-taking sessions, treat your kids to some homemade dairy products like pudding and ice-cream!

Entopia features two exhibitions, The Natureland, an outdoor living garden where butterflies and insects come out to play, and The Cocoon which is an indoor centre where you can discover hundreds of flora and fauna. If there's an unmissable attraction at The Habitat, it's the zip line course called The Flight of The Coluo where you can ‘fly’ through the rainforest! Of course, this would be more suitable if you are travelling with older kids. Not a fan of ziplines? As a kid, I would always get excited to ride any kind of transportation like the public bus, trams, and the ferry! The ferry ride to the Penang island from Butterworth is quite a short distance but if you have the chance, bring the kids for the slow 20-minute ride. They would surely enjoy the view along the way. Another cool way to get around central George Town is to ride the trishaw! It’s a slow ride too, but it’s a fun way to go sightseeing. Most trishaw riders offer a heritage tour where they'll take you to several main attractions in Penang.

If your kids love to cycle, there are many places to rent bikes in Penang, especially in George Town. The best part is, you can stop wherever you’d like to take photos and even take a short cendol break to quench your thirst. Yum!
