The National Gallery is one of Singapore's most iconic attractions. Known for having the largest collection of Southeast Asian art in the region, the National Gallery is a great spot for both locals and travellers. If you're planning a visit to the National Gallery soon, you might be looking for a restaurant to have your meal. Good news - The Great Mischief is the first halal restaurant to open at National Gallery Singapore. Some of you might remember The Great Mischief at Little India (by The Black Hole Group) for its halal Catalan-inspired dishes. Here's what to look forward to at their brand new space!

The Great Mischief reopens - the first halal restaurant at National Gallery Singapore

The Great Mischief is now open at National Gallery Singapore from Monday to Sunday, 10AM-6PM and according to their website, they serve "brunch, lunch and everything else in between". Before we go over to the food, let's take a look at how Instagram-worthy the eatery looks!

Located on the first floor of the Gallery near the Gallery Store, The Great Mischief is decked in pastel hues that fit in with the National Gallery's aesthetic. The comfy seats and colours certainly make it a perfect spot for your next brunch date or a quiet weekday afternoon.

If you're lucky, you'll get to dine in at one of these corner seats that have plenty of light shining through the National Gallery's gorgeous windows. Plus, you'll get to look out to the Padang and enjoy the view of Marina Bay Sands from these seats too.

Food at The Great Mischief

You might remember The Great Mischief for its halal Catalan-inspired tapas-style food but their new outlet serves something more like a classic weekend brunch. But that said, you can still find some Spanish/Catalan-inspired names on the menu.

For a hearty brunch, get The Grande, the eatery's version of a breakfast platter. The mouthwatering dish consists of sausages, Pimento beans, Kipfler potato with sourdough, cheddar, feta cheese as well as your choice of eggs. If you like a taste of spice in your breakfast platter, you'd love the Pimento beans.

For something sweeter, their Fancy French would excite you! Get a taste of brioche with poached plums, blackberries, cinnamon, custard and whipped yoghurt all in one mouthful. If you're a fan of sweet and savoury, don't miss out on their Chaffles - egg & cheese waffle with fried chicken, maple syrup and butter. You can also expect other interesting items on their menu like crepe and poached pears, croquettes, tea-based mocktails and more!

Even though dine-in is currently limited to 2 pax, you can still go on a "date" with your significant other or friend and enjoy The Great Mischief's new menu offerings. Though it's only open till 6PM now, they are planning to start dinner service soon, so do keep a lookout for it and in the meantime, SHARE this good news with your loved ones!
