When the news of the Singapore-Germany vaccinated travel lane (VTL) was announced, many Singaporeans were pleasantly surprised when they found out that they could travel to Germany quarantine-free. While travellers from Brunei will be eligible for the VTL from 8 September onwards, only Singaporeans eligible under the Reciprocal Green Lane (RGL) can enter the country. Wondering which countries are quarantine-free for travellers from Singapore? We've rounded up this list of 13 destinations that vaccinated Singapore travellers can actually visit quarantine-free!

What is quarantine-free travel?

Quarantine-free travel means that vaccinated travellers won't need to serve quarantine or stay-home notice (SHN). However, they will need to take multiple Covid-19 PCR tests in place of quarantine. The number of PCR tests depends on the destination that you're visiting. Some countries don't even require to take a test if you've been vaccinated or if you're from a low-risk country.

Which destinations are quarantine-free for travellers from Singapore?

If you've been wondering when can Singaporeans travel again and which destinations we might potentially have a travel bubble with, perhaps it will make sense to look at destinations that are already open to vaccinated travellers from Singapore. Currently, the only destination that Singaporeans can travel to without serving quarantine upon arrival at either destination is Germany. As for the other destinations on this list, you'll still have to serve SHN when coming back to Singapore. But we hope as Singapore opens up its borders, it will allow more destinations to be eligible under the VTL.

1. Germany

Together with Brunei, starting 8 September 2021, travellers from Germany will be able to skip quarantine when they arrive in Singapore under the VTL. As Germany does not have any quarantine requirements for Singaporeans, this means that you can travel to Germany and back without having to serve SHN! Planning your trip to Germany already? Check out our guide here! From the Berlin Wall to the fairytale-like Neuschwanstein Castle, the stunning German Alps and more, there's so much to explore in the European nation.
