Vietnam plans to reopen Phu Quoc to vaccinated travellers

According to The Star, Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has announced plans to reopen Phu Quoc island to vaccinated international travellers soon! In June 2021, the Prime Minister asked for an assessment from relevant bodies on whether the reopening Phu Quoc to vaccinated travellers from low-risk countries is possible. The Ministry of Health was also tasked to create a vaccination program to vaccinate all 170,000 islanders, in order to achieve herd immunity by September or October 2021.
