With many of us heading out now, we can look forward to the best part of the NDP celebrations - scouring around Marina Bay for the best spots to watch fireworks! 1. Helix Bridge

Whether it's date night, or you and your friends are looking for that picture-perfect opportunity, make a pitstop along the Helix Bridge to get uninterrupted views of the lights brightening up the night sky ?

2. Esplanade Waterfront

This 300m long waterfront is the perfect place (which is free!) to catch the fireworks ? But do come early to score yourself the best spots; the waterfront gets really crowded during peak festive periods!

Makansutra houses a variety of street vendors which celebrate the best of local food. There are only a couple of halal hawker stalls here but you can still get a taste of Singapore food! If the city area is a little crowded, fret not, you might actually catch fireworks near your neighbourhood! On August 9th, catch a dazzling display of fireworks across 5 locations in Singapore between 8:15 pm to 8:25pm. You will be allowed free entry from 6pm onwards.
