When it comes to halal Chinese food or Japanese food, finding an authentic taste that's still Muslim-friendly is the number one priority. Thank goodness there are businesses like Nad's Dumplings that can deliver that authentic flavour using halal ingredients! ? Run by Chinese Muslim revert Nadirah Tan, this small home-based business in Singapore specialises in halal pan-fried dumplings!

Whether you think of these as Chinese potstickers or Japanese gyoza, one thing that's certain is that they're made with love and dedication. Check out those delicate folds! They contain just minced chicken, spring onion, napa cabbage, shiitake mushroom, and Nadirah's own homemade marinade. Compared to the instant dumplings you can find in supermarket shelves, they're made with simple ingredients and you don't have to worry about any additives! ?

P.S. Gluten and sesame oil are used in the fillings so take note if you have any sensitivities or allergies!

The dumplings are sold frozen, so you just need to pop them into a pan, add some slurry, and they'll be ready in a couple of minutes! While the Original Dumplings ($20, 20 pc per box) are currently sold out, you can also go for the Original Mini Dumplings ($17, 20 pc per box) that are a little smaller but still full of flavour. ?

Don't forget to add on the House Made Chilli Oil ($4) too! Made with Sichuan peppercorns, aromatic spices, and canola oil, it's the perfect dipping sauce for dumplings and can even be used to stir-fry other dishes too. ? Right now it's a special launch price of $4 until the end of August - so if you're eyeing it, it's best to buy it ASAP! You can even add on Chinese Black Vinegar for an additional $0.50 to add a touch of sourness to your sauce.

To order, just check out the order form in her Instagram account that will be open on a weekly basis. Pre-orders are closed once the slots are taken up so it's fastest fingers first! You can self-collect your dumplings (Tampines St 45, details given when order is confirmed) or opt for delivery at an additional fee (between $6-$12 depending on distance).

Stay tuned to her Instagram for updates on the next pre-order launch - it's time to up your gyoza game! ?
