I recently went on a trip to Seoul over the winter of 2019 and got so much shopping done within a week. ? Myeongdong, Hongdae, and Dongdaemun were all on my to-do list and it turns out that each neighbourhood is good for different things!

You can find cosmetics shops all over the city but Myeongdong has them all conveniently located together! I even managed to find some halal-certified K-cosmetics while walking around! ? The streets are also super flat so you won't get tired while on your shopping spree. ?

Next stop: Dongdaemun Design Plaza! Dongdaemun has shops that sell really cheap socks in all sorts of cute designs but I loved the stationery shops in DDP. I almost spent all of my allowance on note pads and post it's ? I ended up buying some jewellery there too. It's a smaller variety than Myeongdong but the experience is more chic and trendy. DDP is also super IG worthy!

Final stop (and my favourite shopping area in the end) was the area between Ewha and Hongik university including the Hongdae shopping street! The variety's about as good as Myeongdong but the vibe of the neighbourhood is much younger and more vibrant. ? I got to look at lots of clothes (but everything was stocked for winter so I didn't buy any bsck to Singapore! ?), visited the LINE store and went cafe hopping - in the end I think I visited Hongdae about 3 or 4 times across the week because there was so much to do!

In the end my backpacks and duffel bag were packed with what I bought for myself and my friends. ? I actually didn't plan on shopping in Seoul but there's so much to find there! Lots of items from cosmetics to accessories are also cheaper than they are in Singapore too. I'm already dreaming of going back for more. ?
