Our recent journey to Hong Kong was nothing short of amazing. Exploring this vibrant city unveiled an unforgettable world of breathtaking skyscrapers, rich cultural heritage, and warm hospitality that far exceeded our expectations.
From the bustling streets of Mong Kok to the scenic beauty of Lantau Island, Hong Kong offers the perfect blend of urban excitement and cultural discovery. Whether you're looking for adventure or a relaxing getaway, this dynamic city has something for everyone—including Muslim travellers seeking halal-friendly experiences.
Getting from Malaysia or Singapore to Hong Kong

Travelling from Malaysia or Singapore to Hong Kong is incredibly convenient, with direct flights available via airlines such as Malaysia Airlines, Singapore Airlines, and Cathay Pacific. For Muslim travellers, full-service airlines may provide Muslim-friendly meal options—but it’s always best to confirm with the airline in advance to ensure your dietary needs are met for a smooth in-flight experience.
Getting Around Hong Kong

Navigating Hong Kong is a breeze, thanks to its efficient and well-connected transportation network. The Airport Express is the fastest and most convenient way to travel from Hong Kong International Airport to the city center.
Once you're in the city, the MTR (Mass Transit Railway) will be your best friend—it's fast, clean, and easy to use, with instructions available in multiple languages. For shorter trips, you can hop on a bus, tram, or taxi, all of which are widely available and reasonably priced.
Navigating Payments in Hong Kong
Visa and Mastercard are widely accepted across Hong Kong. However, it's advisable to carry some cash, especially when shopping at street markets or dining at smaller eateries, where card payments might not be available.

A great alternative to cash is the Octopus Card, a rechargeable smart card used for public transport, retail transactions, and even dining. It's accepted at convenience stores, supermarkets, and various restaurants, making it an essential tool for travellers. You can easily top it up at MTR stations, convenience stores, and other designated locations.
Now that we’ve covered the essentials for a smooth and hassle-free trip to Hong Kong, let’s dive into our 5-day, 4-night itinerary and explore everything this incredible city has to offer!

Our adventure in Hong Kong began the moment we landed at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA). Immigration was swift and hassle-free, setting the tone for a smooth arrival. Travelers should take note of customs regulations, particularly the prohibition of plant and animal products to avoid any issues upon entry.

This immersive showcase features a massive 6.5-meter-high set from the acclaimed film, recreating the atmospheric streets of Kowloon Walled City. With its iconic neon signs and nostalgic ambiance, the exhibit offers a glimpse into Hong Kong’s past.
After its run at the airport, the exhibition will be relocated to the AIRSIDE shopping mall in Kowloon City—definitely worth checking out!
