MacRitchie TreeTop Walk at MacRitchie Nature Reserve is one of the famous outdoor hiking spots in Singapore. This suspension bridge gives you the experience of hiking through the forest between Bukit Peirce & Bukit Kalang. But not many know that Jelutong Tower is another hidden gem where you could hike and enjoy stunning views of the reservoir from above.
Jelutong Tower - Observation Tower at MacRitchie Nature Reserve
If you love walking along the famous TreeTop Walk at MacRitchie Reservoir, chances are you will also love the Jelutong Tower. Still located in the forest of MacRitchie, the Jelutong Tower is a 7-deck observation tower that gives you an uninterrupted overview of MacRitchie. It offers you new sights from a different height.
After climbing the spiral staircase, you will be surrounded by Jelutong trees (hence the name), and you could enjoy the experience of the lush green canopy of the forest. The view of the Central Catchment Nature Reserve and the waters of MacRitchie Reservoir will greet your eyes.
Grab your binoculars because Jelutong Tower is the perfect spot for bird watching! You will be pleasantly surprised by the number of species you can spot here. From Pink-necked Green-Pigeon to the colourful Blue-crowned Hanging-Parrot, make sure to always keep your eyes on and not to miss their sighting.
Located in the West of the Central Catchment Nature Reserve (CCNR), you can start from Venus Drive entrance and walk through Venus Link and Sime Track with a distance of around 3.3 km.
