The famous MacRitchie TreeTop Walk at MacRitchie Nature Reserve is one of Singapore's famous hiking spots. The suspension bridge takes you between Bukit Peirce & Bukit Kalang, and is a popular spot for Singapore's hikers who want a sense of adventure or an Instagram-worthy photo opportunity! Having been closed for most of 2021, this year, we think it's time to revisit the beautiful MacRitchie TreeTop Walk!

MacRitchie TreeTop Walk

The Walk is a 250 metre-long suspension bridge, and while the walk up to it is slightly steep, what really gets your heart racing is when you're on the bridge itself ? Standing 30 metres above sea level, this bridge may not be for the faint of heart! While sturdy, it's definitely a height up.

If you're trekking to the bridge, be ready for some good exercise. The distance to the entrance of the TreeTop Walk is approximately 4.5 km (a 1.5 - 2 hr walk) if you start at MacRitchie Reservoir Park. Beginners may want to start at Windsor Nature Park instead. From there, it's only 2.5 km (a 1 – 1.5 hr walk) to the entrance of the walk!

Many may choose to instead do a round trip, which includes both parks and the TreeTop Walk. The adventurous who take on this challenge should be prepared for a 7 km to 10 km hike around Singapore's secondary forest. It takes about 3-5 hours depending on your walking pace!
