Hari Raya is upon us soon, it's just a couple days away! And as we start ramping up towards the Raya mood, it's the perfect time to cook Hari Raya food, including classic dishes like rendang and lodeh. If you haven't gotten your Raya cookies yet, don't worry - it's not too late to bake-up some kuih raya in these last few days before Eid! And to help you out, we've rounded up a list of easy kuih raya recipes that only require 4 ingredients, so you'll likely already have these ingredients at home and can bake them up in a jiffy! From honey cornflakes to German cookies, peanut butter cookies, shortbread and more, let's get started.

P.S. Looking for other easy kuih raya recipes? Check this list out? For something a little more challenging (but super delicious), check out this list of popular kuih raya recipes like Nutella Tarts and more.

1. Honey cornflakes

We're starting off our list with a classic that everyone's probably familiar with - honey cornflake cookies! Made with just honey, butter and cornflakes, you end up with a sweet bite-sized morsel that's totally more-ish. Top with colourful sprinkles for some added flair! To make them, follow this recipe from Noob Cook - you'll have your honey cornflake cookies ready in no time!

2. Shortbread cookies

Shortbread cookies are a classic, best enjoyed with a cup of tea or coffee. Shortbread is a great vehicle for many flavours, but the good 'ol plain shortbread that's sweetened with sugar and vanilla is just as delicious. Check out this recipe by King Arthur Flour to make them - you can cut them into wedges or make them into cookies (follow the instructions at the end of the recipe in the notes to make cookies!).

3. Peanut Butter Cookies

If you've never had peanut butter cookies, it's time to make them! The beloved peanut butter spread is mixed with other ingredients into a dough before being formed into balls that are pressed down with a fork and then baked. There are many variations of peanut butter recipes, but did you know you can make some lovely chewy ones with just peanut butter, sugar, egg and vanilla essence? Check out this recipe by Marsha's Baking Addiction.

4. German Cookies

German cookies are a light, crispy cookie that's buttery and yummy. The ingredients list is surprisingly simple - just potato starch, icing sugar, butter and flour. The secret is in beating the butter and icing sugar at the start really well until it's pale and fluffy. Don't overbake them in the oven! Follow this recipe by Bisousatoi to make them. The cookie, once baked, comes out in a natural blonde colour, but you can also follow the current trend and add food colouring to make colourful German cookies.

5.Condensed Milk cookies

For another super easy and versatile recipe, turn to the condensed milk cookie! Made with (you guessed it) condensed milk, along with flour, butter and sugar, so you can imagine it'll be an indulgent sweet treat. You can add any mix-ins or decorations to the cookies - from chocolate chips to M&Ms, sprinkles, nuts and more. Check out this basic recipe from Bake Play Smile to get you started. A full can of condensed milk can make a pretty large batch of cookies - if it's too much you can even freeze the extra dough.

We have a few days left before Raya, and it's not too late to whip up these easy and yummy kuih raya to enjoy at home! With just a few ingredients needed, you'll have them ready in no time. Happy baking!
