However, this humble coffee shop near the Stadium MRT feels as if it's been left untouched by time (and costs) ?

Built-in 1968, Jalan Benaan Kapal Food Centre has 10 stalls offering drinks, noodles, nasi lemak, mee rebus and others. It still manages to survive until now, serving up local food and drinks at prices you wouldn't have thought possible today! ?

For starters, you can get your morning Kopi-O at merely 50cents! The Facebook page Bestfoody shared that the nameless kopi stand in the corner of the hawker centre serves arguably the "cheapest coffee in Singapore" ? What's even cooler about this stall is that, according to Miss Tam Chiak, despite rising milk and coffee prices, the owner only increased his prices by 10 cents!

If you're craving local fare, there's a Malay food stall that loyal patrons have highly praised! Many customers rave about their nasi lemak and lontong, some of the many specialities offered by Warong Mak Esah, a Muslim-owned stall. Their nasi Padang dishes are also worth trying; one Facebook user even commented that the Fish Head Curry here is the best in Singapore! Well, it's time for you to try it for yourself ? An average meal costs about $4, and you will be promised a satisfying meal with hefty portions like these ?

According to Google, there are other Muslim-owned stalls serving Indian Muslim fare, rojak and more that you can check out as well!

If there are other hidden food stores like these you think we should feature, let us know! It's nice to know that amid our bustling lives in Singapore, there's a relic of the past that helps us just take a seat back and reminisce those good ol' time ?

Address: 56 Jln Benaan Kapal, Singapore 399644
