We all love a good stir-fried dish, be it some fried rice or noodles. It's a comforting, hearty, carb-laden dish that appeals to many. And if you live in Singapore, you've probably seen this popular stir fry stall in many different malls. That's right, we're talking about WOK HEY! This chain of stir-fry stalls has gained quite a following and you might be wondering, is WOK HEY halal? We're happy to report that it's finally re-obtained its halal certification! (To refresh your memory, WOK HEY previously had halal certification but it had expired a while back). Keep reading for how to order the best takeout meal from the WOK HEY menu!

It's hard not to notice WOK HEY shops - the name practically screams at you to take notice! Seemingly the only place in the world to get your fix of fried rice in an air-conditioned environment, the people behind WOK HEY brilliantly identified a demand for quick stir-fries in more upscale settings, catering for those looking for a speedy takeaway meal. Their stalls are basically up-kept versions of hawker stalls, where a glass-viewing screen stands in between customers so you can still witness the satisfying mixing of ingredients without having wok fumes lingering all over you on the way back to the office!

If you're not familiar with how WOK HEY works, it's pretty easy: You have 4 different carb options to choose from: egg fried rice, Shanghai-style fried rice, ramen and udon. Then, you can customise and add certain ingredients - they have everything from braised beef to a sous-vide egg. Fancy!
The business currently has 26 WOK HEY outlets all across Singapore. Based on our checks on the MUIS website, 24 out of 26 outlets are already halal-certified. For your ease of reference, please find a full list of the stalls below:
