According to Time Out Tokyo, the opening will take place on April 29 for IKEA Family members and doors will officially open to the public on May 1. That's less than a month from now! As the third outlet in central Tokyo (the first location in Harajuku and the second near Shibuya's Tokyo Crossing), this new addition is going to make Shinjuku more of a shopping haven than it already is. Plus, it'll only be a 5-minute walk from Shinjuku Station. Talk about convenience!

While Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia have their own IKEA stores, we're sure that visiting an outlet in a different country will be a unique experience of its own. If you're a shopaholic, you'll definitely want to put this on your bucket list the next time you fly to Japan!
