Halal Hong Kong-style egg tarts or Portuguese/Macanese-style egg tarts are super difficult to find even in Hong Kong - so we were surprised to learn that Madeleine's Original Portuguese Egg Tart in Tanjong Katong makes a Muslim-friendly version! Though the store itself isn't halal-certified, they have informed us that they use only halal-certified ingredients. Now you can finally get a taste of these custard-filled sweet treats!
