Coffee lovers in Peninsular Malaysia’s East Coast don’t have to worry about travelling all the way to KL anymore to cafe-hop. With so many hipster cafes mushrooming everywhere in Kuantan, this quaint coastal town is quickly growing as one of the best destinations for cafe hoppers in Malaysia. 1. Pull A Shot Specialty Coffee

Established in 2015, Pull A Shot Specialty Coffee is Kuantan’s hidden gem that perfectly caters to third-wave coffee enthusiasts. Sourcing their beans from Coffeehead Roastery — their own in-house roastery — this cozy cafe offers a carefully crafted espresso-based menu as well as single-origin! There’s also a variety of beans to choose from if you would like to brew yourself a cup of great coffee at home.

2. Rasa Sayang Cafe

If you’re a fan of Kula Cakes’ famous Mango Cheesecake, you definitely need to visit Rasa Sayang Cafe! From espresso to hand drip single origin, it’s all about that excellent cup of coffee at about: Espresso & Brew Bar. With plain white walls, black metal grills and minimalistic decor, this family-run hipster cafe takes their coffee very seriously! Their experimental coffee mocktail series, which includes a combination of espresso ice cubes, ginger ale, a slice of grapefruit and thyme, is the perfect way to unwind after a long week. Formerly known as Maktabah Nursalam, Norfa Book Cafe is a one-of-a-kind book cafe in Kuantan.
