As Chinese New Year draws near, it’s only normal that a lot of us get a hankering for Chinese food (seeing all those CNY decorations must give some subconscious cue to our tummies ?). Plus, with the festive season upon us, a lot of us will be looking for a good place to gather and eat throughout CNY ? [P.S: If you’re wondering where to Lo Hei this year for CNY, check out this list of restaurants in Singapore with halal yusheng!]

If that’s the case, you’ll be happy to know that Fusion Spoon, a halal-certified restaurant located at Singapore Botanic Gardens now offers Chinese hot pot!

In addition to its regular menu of western and Asian dishes, this hidden gem (tucked away in Level B1 of the Botany Centre near the Tanglin Gate entrance, which is opposite Gleneagles Hospital) now offers a halal hot pot menu available from 4 pm onwards.

For its hot pot, Fusion Spoon offers a choice between set menus (meant for individual diners) or a free flow buffet where you can dine to your heart’s content! Choose from over 50 ingredients (including sliced beef, scallops and prawns) and six different kinds of soup bases. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can go for the spicy Sichuan Mala broth that will be sure to fire (or perhaps more accurately, numb) those tastebuds!

P.S.: Don’t forget to help yourself to the various sauces and dips (20 types available - for free!) to make your hot pot feast even better ?

It’s also worth noting that the restaurant is great for family meals or gatherings with friends. In addition to having ample seating space, the restaurant also has a children’s play area. Plus, with its convenient location at the Singapore Botanic Gardens, it’s a great place to eat before or after going for a picturesque stroll ? Fusion spoon will be operating at special hours throughout the CNY period (3 pm - 11 pm on 4th Feb, 11 am - 11 pm on 5th Feb) with business as usual 6th Feb onwards. For 4th and 5th Feb, only the hot pot menu will be served, so do plan accordingly ?

And hot pot lovers can further rejoice, because the restaurant is currently having an awesome 3+1 promotion, where for three adults paying for the hot pot buffet, the fourth person eats free, along with a free flow of drinks and soup base! ? Based on our checks with Fusion Spoon, this promotion is available until March (but will not be available on CNY).

So with such a scrumptious offering awaiting, it’s time to gather your friends and family and go have a delicious hot pot meal! [P.S.: If you’re looking for other amazing places where you can eat halal Chinese food in SG, check out this list!]
