When Oscar-winning film Parasite took the world by storm in 2019, a new dish went viral too - Ram-don! Also known as 'Chapa-guri', it consists of a mix of 2 different instant Korean ramen. In the movie, it's topped with delicious high-grade Hanwoo beef but even without the fancy toppings, this delicious dish is the epitome of a stay-at-home indulgence. ?

We love our halal Korean instant noodles so much and we've been waiting to be able to make Ramdon for ourselves too. Well, now the wait is half over because you can finally find a halal-certified version of Chapagetti in supermarket shelves in Singapore! That's right, we're as shocked and excited as you are that we can now make our Ramdon dreams a reality. ?

Chapagetti is Nongshim's instant version of jjajangmyeon (Or chajang ramyun) made with a thicker 'spaghetti' like noodle that'll soak up all the goodness of its roasted black bean sauce. ? Look out for the green logo of the Korean Muslim Foundation (KMF) to make sure that you're getting the halal-certified version, as the non-halal version may still be on the shelves.

Our reader spotted halal Chapagetti at the Cold Storage outlets in Jelita (Holland Village) and Causeway Point (Woodlands), and we're hoping that more outlets will soon stock this too! If you can't find it in your local supermarket, you can also buy it online on Amazon for quick and easy delivery. ?

If you're planning to make Ramdon, you'll need Neoguri as well. Neoguri is a spicy seafood and vegetable broth instant noodle with thicker and chewier 'udon' noodles. Unfortunately the halal-certified version is currently not available in Singapore (the picture above was taken in Malaysia) but you can still find it online on Shopee - just remember that it sells out super quickly!

For now, while we can't have proper Ramdon (yet) we're definitely going to try out Chapagetti and see if it lives up to the hype. ? In the meantime, check out these 14 yummy ways to upgrade your instant noodles!
