1. Strawberry Moment Dessert Cafe

Depending on where you're starting from, there are approximately four roads that you can take to get to Cameron Highlands. If you're heading up to the highlands via the Simpang Pulai road (a much less 'twist' road), the Strawberry Moment Dessert Cafe would be the first notable landmark you'd come across ?. 

As the name would imply, the speciality of this cafe is their strawberry related fare - ranging from strawberry salads and pastries to strawberry drinks and desserts. The cafe itself is rather large and features a mix of modern and rustic furniture. It also gets a ton of natural light via the multitude of windows, giving it a light and airy feel - perfect for evoking a relaxing atmosphere and for snapping a few photos ?!

2. Cameron Valley Tea House 2

Located between Habu and Tanah Rata, Cameron Valley Tea House 2 is the biggest and most popular of the three teahouses that are managed by the Bharat Group. Known for serving delicious pastries and (of course) an array of fragrant Cameron Valley teas, this terrace style tea shop also offers visitors a breathtaking view of Cameron Highlands famed tea plantation. Besides dine-in options, visitors can also purchase an assortment of locally produced tea ?.

3. 200 Seeds Cafe by Abang Strawberry

One of the most well-known cafes in Cameron Highlands has got to be 200 Seeds Cafe a.k.a. Abang Strawberry. Located in Kampung Taman Sedia, Tanah Rata, the cosy cafe is known for its unique take on Nasi Lemak. After all, who would have thought that Nasi Lemak with Sambal Strawberi Ikan Masin (Salted fish strawberry sambal) would taste so good ??

Besides the famed nasi lemak, the cafe also has 'safer' options, like pancakes and an array of strawberry themed desserts. There's also a strawberry farm attached to the cafe so you can also opt to pick fresh strawberries to take home ?! Watch our video here:

4. Barracks Cafe

Housed in a decommissioned barrack that used to carry soldiers and armed forces back in the heyday, Barracks Cafe is a unique, cylindrical-shaped cafe that greatly resembles a giant tin can that has been laid on its side. Located just a stone throw away from the Avillion Hotel, this cosy and industrial looking cafe has a charming and relaxing atmosphere. Plus, the inside is also filled with a collection of well preserved old photos - kind of like a mini-museum ?! 

As for the food, the cafe serves a variety of delectable western and local cuisine, ranging from appetizers to desserts. The prices are also not too expensive - considering the sheer quality of the food! The General's lambchop comes highly recommended, as does the pasta and bread bowls. 5. Pizzarella

There's no better feeling than enjoying a piping hot pizza in the cool (and sometimes windy) weather of Cameron Highlands.  Located at Cameron Fair on Jalan Camelia, Pizzarella is known for serving up tasty and healthy pizzas - ranging from classic favourites like pepperoni and tuna to vegetarians options ?! 

Besides serving pizzas, the cafe also serves a range of other western delights, like chicken chop, pasta, soups and scones. Additionally, they also have a wide range of tasty sourdough bread for you to choose from should you be inclined to purchase something to munch on for the road ?.

Halal status: Pizzarella told us that they are in the process of renewing their halal certification. They were previously Halal-certified and no ingredients have changed. We recommend you dine at your own discretion.

6. The Lord's Cafe

Formerly known as T Cafe, The Lord's Cafe is located on the second floor of the row of shop lots in Tanah Rata (above Marrybrown). This humble and retro English-style snack bar is quite famous amongst tourists for their freshly made baked goods - particularly the scones ?. 

Light and airy in terms of decor, the cafe is filled with interesting chairs and would make for a beautiful addition to your Instagram feed. Do take note that despite their opening hours being until 5.30 pm, they can (and will) close early once they've run out of baked goods! So if you're planning to visit, do try to get there (at the lastest) by 4.30 pm ?.

7. Mr. Aisu

A sweet end to this list is Mr Aisu, a hidden gem that definitely deserves a visit if you're in Cameron Highland. This quaint and lovely looking cafe specialises in making handmade, soft-serve ice cream and crispy waffles made from locally sourced ingredients. Their Signature strawberry ice cream, for example, uses only the best strawberries taken from local strawberry farms ?! 

Aside from the strawberry ice cream, Mr Aisu also serves unique flavours like Teh Tarik, Limau Ais, and Chokanan Mango! Pair the ice cream with their homemade waffles and it’s like an explosion of yummy flavours in your mouth! Additionally, the ice cream flavours also change with the seasons, so you can always expect new and exciting flavours every time you visit ?!
