The 2022 Geylang Ramadan Bazaar is expected to start on 2 April 2022 and end on 2 May 2022. A whole month of shopping and celebrations! Plus, with opening hours from 1pm to 11pm, this means we'll have plenty of time to explore the new stalls and experience the lively atmosphere.

2. Will it be as crowded as it once was?

With Covid-19 being a concern amongst many, the decision has been made to have a scaled back version of the iconic Geylang Ramadan Bazaar. Instead of it lining the streets the way it once did, the bazaar will now comprise of 2 zones near the Wisma Geylang Serai Building.

Each zone will also only have a maximum of 20 stalls. In addition to this, entry safe management measures will be in place! All walkways will be 3m wide, giving us plenty of space for social distancing, only 2 stall operators are allowed in a stall at any given time and only a maximum of 4 people can be at the pre-designated serving point at any given time.

With these measures in place, we can be rest assured that it will be safer!

3. What kind of stalls will there be?

We know you've been waiting for this one! Even if scaled back, the Ramadan Bazaars definitely won't be the same without our favourite street food stalls or racks of Raya clothing and goodies.

According to tender documents, Geylang Ramadan Bazaar will have at least 3 out of 5 stalls sell traditional Ramadan or Hari Raya food, and at least 4 out of 5 non-food stalls will have exciting items being sold for Hari Raya such as clothes and accessories!

Geylang Serai's Ramadan Bazaar might be a little smaller this year, but it's a step toward our old (or new) norm! We're excited to see what's in store for Geylang Bazaar 2022.
