Amidst the ongoing battle against COVID-19 in Singapore, it's extra heartwarming to know that there's good news to uplift our spirits and inspire the community. Delivery service, foodpanda, along with four restaurant partners - Nando's, Popeye's, Wing Zone and Honest Bowl have come together to deliver over 2,000 lunches to volunteers and staff across all 40 vaccination centres in Singapore!

In support of the Singapore government's goal to fully vaccinate two-third of its population before National Day (August 9), frontliners have been working tirelessly to ensure a safe and smooth vaccination experience for all. This is no easy feat considering each volunteer and staff at vaccination centres work a seven hour shift on average while taking on various roles.

From verifying the particulars and eligibility of registrants and ensuring that members of the public are aware of the vaccination process to keeping a lookout for adverse reactions after vaccinations are administered, these are just some of the responsibilities they have to handle throughout the day. Not to mention that all of these are done with great patience, compassion and positivity ❤️

Director of Strategic Partnerships of foodpanda Singapore - Sukhdeep Singh, said "“Food is the way to our hearts, and what better way to express our heartfelt appreciation for our frontline heroes than to do what we do best - providing them with delicious, warm meals. We are incredibly grateful for the support of our partners Nando’s, Popeye’s, Wing Zone and Honest Bowl in joining us on this meaningful initiative to thank our frontline heroes."

"As we work towards an endemic Singapore, we wanted to say a big thank you to our frontline workers who have risked themselves to keep us safe. This includes not just healthcare workers, but also delivery riders, delivering our food and groceries as the country battles this current wave of challenge," he shared.
