Here's some good news to brighten up the end of the week! Singapore has just announced that groups of 5 people who are fully vaccinated will be allowed to dine in, starting 10 Aug. If you've been bummed out about Phase 2 (Heightened Alert), there's now light at the end of the tunnel ?

According to The Straits Times, under the new rules, those who are not vaccinated will only be allowed to join groups of 5 if they have a valid negative pre-event test (PET) results. Those who have recovered from Covid-19 will also be able to join the group. However, if you haven't been fully vaccinated, don't worry! Everyone will be able to dine-in at hawker centres and coffee shops in groups of 2, regardless of their vaccination status.
For those of you who aren't fully vaccinated and are planning to have small gatherings with loved ones, good news! The group size for social gatherings will be increased from 2 to 5 and you can also receive up to 5 visitors to your home.
