Guide to booking a hotel room during this period of uncertainty

In this period of uncertainty, travel plans may change and restrictions might be reinforced when we least expect it. If you're planning a getaway next year, here are some tips to book your hotel room in advance.
- Stay up to date with the country's travel advisory and restrictions. As the number of new COVID-19 cases can fluctuate at any time, get the latest updates from your local embassy as well as the country's Health Ministry and Immigration Department.
- Before you book a room, double-check the hotel's cancellation policy and date flexibility. Take note of the final cancellation date in your calendar, so you'll remember to cancel before it's too late.
- When booking through a third-party platform, browse for hotels using the free cancellation filter. For example, Agoda EasyCancel and Hotels.com's free cancellation allow you to cancel your booking before a certain date, in case there's a change of travel plans.
- Lastly, create a flexible travel plan. Since the travel situation may change at any given time, prepare a travel plan that allows you to move around your dates easily when the unexpected happened.
Note: All nightly rates are based on a search between October and December 2020 for 2 adults. Prices may change in the upcoming months and we recommend that you do a search before booking. At the time of writing, the nightly rates for 2021 are unavailable.
