Located nearby Sembawang MRT, most of the facilities have been opened to the public except the hawker centre. ? But if you’re thinking of exploring somewhere new this weekend, you can now visit and enjoy a meal in the newly built hawker facility!

Recently, Health Minister and Sembawang MP Ong Ye Kung announced on Facebook about the opening of Bukit Canberra Hawker Centre happening on 17 December 2022. With 44 stalls, there will be lots of unique culinary dishes. Unfortunately at the time of writing, there is no information on the halal food options available. However, according to a comment by Bukit Canberra Hawker Centre on Facebook, there will be halal and vegetarian food stalls that visitors can look forward to! ?

Bukit Canberra Hawker Centre will offer eco-friendly initiatives too! Food wastage will be reduced by efforts to turn it into compost through an eco-friendly “waste-grinder”. On top of that, there will be no disposable cutlery and utensils available at the hawker centre for dine-in orders. You can look forward to eco-friendly materials being used for your takeaway.
There is also a "Belanja A Meal" program where diners can buy a meal for a less fortunate resident. ? CHAS, Pioneer, and Merdeka Generation cardholders will also receive daily discounts at the hawker centre.
