Located in a bungalow, the beautiful restaurant offers beloved local fare, from itik salai (smoked duck) to masak lemak to lempeng pisang which are worth the drive! We loved the alfresco dining area where you can enjoy your delicious Malay food surrounded by Malaysian motifs such as murals of ayam kampung and peacock, sunglasses-clad aunties and plenty of greeneries — perfect to enjoy your afternoon tea!

It doesn’t break the bank to dine here as well (looking at you, overpriced cafes ?). Set lunches average around RM10 for a plate of rice, meat and one vegetable. Banglo 289 also offers a beautiful harmony of Malaysian and Western brunch fare. From usual brunch favourites such as Chulan Eggs Benedict (RM12) and Banglo 289 Breakfast (RM20) to Malaysian delights like Ubi Kayu Rebus (RM6) and Lempeng Pisang (RM5.50), diners have a wide range of choices!

How can one end their meal without having something sweet? Don’t miss out on the highly-recommended Tapai Ice Cream (RM4) which is especially perfect for a hot day. Gorgeous green surroundings and traditional local delights at reasonable prices — how could this possibly get any better?
