It's only been a week since we told you about a convenience store in Asakusa selling halal cream daifuku (Japanese mochi with sweet filling and red bean paste). Guess what? We have another piece of good news for you!

A 7-Eleven convenience store in Asakusa has just started selling halal bento ? 7-Eleven has always been one of our favourite go-to stores in Japan when we need a quick snack or drink and with this halal bento available, you can even get a full meal here!

#HHWT Tip: Visiting Asakusa? Then, you'd definitely need our Asakusa Muslim-friendly guide on what to eat, where to pray and top attractions you need to see!

The bento sets are in a frozen section in the store and you can spot them via a signboard which is clearly marked with the words "Halal Bento". There are 2 flavours to choose from - Gyudon (beef rice bowl) and Butter Chicken Curry. We're definitely getting the Gyudon the next time we're in Tokyo ?

What's great about these bento sets is that they are inexpensive too - each bento costs only JPY689 (including tax). That's pretty affordable for a meal especially when you're in a touristy district like Asakusa! Plus, you can get them heated up in the store or even bring it back to your hotel to have your meal.

The bento sets are supplied by Royal Group's Halal Deli and they are halal-certified by the Japan Islamic Trust. Besides this 7-Eleven in Asakusa, you can also get the halal bento at another 7-Eleven store in Otsuka near the Otsuka Mosque. We're just hoping that more convenience stores will sell them in time to come ?
