1. Al-Azhar Eating Restaurant
This Indian-Muslim restaurant is very popular amongst youngsters. The open concept makes the restaurant feel more like a coffee shop rather than those usual “atas” restaurants you see around. Al-Azhar has the ability to accommodate large groups and their service is satisfactory round the clock too. The branch at Bukit Timah has been renovated and they now serve Italian and Mediterranean cuisines as well! Their succulent lamb shank!

The all-time favorite dishes at the old branch are their Butter Masala Chicken, Butter Naan, Thosai, Murtabak and Cockles Fried Kway teow! They serve a huge variety of other food as well. Take your time to flip through their menu!

Another popular late night hangout spot is over at this Indian Muslim eating-house! They've recently upgraded their seating so it's family-friendly, and great for gatherings as well! They have a huge variety of food on their menu too, but you should definitely try their Indian cuisine. Al-Ameen serves great Teh Tarik (Pulled milk tea), Briyani, Masala Chicken, Naans and also Tandoori Chicken!

You are even able to choose sauces to go with your tissue prata – chocolate, strawberry, maple syrup or honey. Their pratas are handmade to perfection, crispy and fluffy, and the portion is definitely value for money!
