Chinese New Year is just around the corner and there's no better time to treat yourself to an amazing meal! If you're wondering about whether there will be any places in town that will remain open for the weekend, don't worry! We've got you covered  ?

From a glorious spread of Chinese cuisine to yummy seafood feasts and mouthwatering dim sum, we've rounded up a list of Muslim-friendly KL eateries that are keeping its doors open during the holiday weekend.

1. Lamb Shepherd Restaurant

Indulge in some true authentic Xi’an cuisine at Lamb Shepherd. Spicy and flavourful, this Chinese Muslim restaurant is a great place for those who not only crave for Xi’an delicacies but also prefer a little heat in their meals. 

While you can’t go wrong with any of their dishes, their dumpling soup should definitely be one of your top choices as it comes highly-recommended. Enhance your feast at this eatery by also ordering the spicy salted mushroom, fried chili prawn, braised eggplant, roast lamb chop, and chilli chicken.

2. Amber Chinese Muslim Restaurant 

A dining experience at Amber is the closest thing you can get to having an authentic meal in Northern China. Although a CNY dinner here may come at a steeper price, you’ll be able to enjoy a delicious dinner in a wonderfully classy atmosphere.

3. Mohammad Chow Chinese Muslim Kitchen

4. Kampung Kitchen

This in-house restaurant in Ibis Kuala Lumpur City Centre (ibis KLCC for short) is offering scrumptious buffets for lunch and dinner during the Chinese New Year weekend that’ll be perfect to satisfy everyone in your entourage.

With a steady reputation for its affordable buffets for lunch and dinner, you can expect the same at Kampung Kitchen’s CNY buffet. Priced at RM40 nett per pax for lunch and RM45 nett per pax for dinner, it’s a great option for a value-for-money meal this festive season! Plus, children below 6 eat for free, while children aged 7 to 12 get 50% off and senior citizens get 10% off.

For their special CNY buffet, prepare to savour delicious offerings that span a whole spectrum of cuisines. 5. Jibby Chow

Treat yourself to scrumptious Chinese food in an ambience that’s upscale and picture-perfect at Jibby Chow. Managed by the same team behind Serai Group and the Jibby cafes, you can be guaranteed a lovely CNY dinner in a beautiful setting.

Serving your favourite Chinese dishes but with their own contemporary twist, you can look forward to Jibby Chow’s refreshing take on the spiced roasted duck in steamed mantao or Boston lobster in their signature chilli sauce. 6. Positano Risto

A flight to Italy might be too much of a stretch for the long weekend. So, head on down to Positano Risto instead where you can satisfy all your Italian cravings in a perfectly chill ambient. 

Explore their extensive menu where you’ll find pasta, grilled meats, seafood, risotto and pizza among other things. Along with a broader dessert menu, don’t miss out on a few dishes that are only available in the Malaysia outlet, which include chargrilled calamari with herbs, honey short ribs, duck tortellini and ice cream brioche.

8. EID Authentic Korean Cuisine

Craving for crunchy Korean fried chicken, hearty bibimbap and soul-soothing kimchi jjigae? Then make your way to one of KL’s few halal Korean restaurants - EID Authentic Korean Cuisine this weekend for a taste of delicious Korean food. 

Owned by Korean-Muslim couple, Yu Hyunwoo and Han Nara, EID was originally established in Itaewon, South Korea before making its debut in Malaysia. Delighting Korean food lovers in Petaling Jaya as one of its latest branches, EID serves many different types of dishes such as original bulgogi, gochujang spicy bulgogi, yangnyoem fried chicken and kimchi stew with chicken.
