Starting 27 April, Air Japan, a new subsidiary of the All Nippon Airways (ANA) Group, is set to commence direct flights from Singapore to Tokyo's Narita International Airport!

As Japan remains a hot favorite destination with people around the world (including Singapore!), the country is now more accessible to travellers (in terms of flight tickets).

The direct flights route are currently served by five carriers including budget options like Scoot and Zipair.

The fare structure of Air Japan has three different tiers - simple, standard, and selected - catering to various needs and budgets.

The 'simple' tier, in particular, offers the most economical one-way fare for passengers over six years old, starting at $156, including a carry-on baggage allowance of up to 7kg.

This tiered pricing model is great for those of us looking for flexibility in terms of baggage, in-flight meals, and seat selection.

With the favourable exchange rate too, this economic advantage, combined with the convenience of direct flights, will definitely boost travel to Japan even further for Singaporeans.

In terms of halal meals, they do offer a Muslim meal (called Halal Meal) but you need to contact them 33 hours before if you're departing from Singapore and 24 hours if departing from Japan.

They do sell halal ramen cups in-flight but all payment is by credit card!

Check out Air Japan's official website for more details!

The exact date for when tickets will become available in early March is yet to be announced, promising future updates for all of us who are eagerly planning out next voyage to the Land of the Rising Sun.
